Annual plans for the implementation of the Strategy

Local Development Strategy of the City of Bijeljina 2014-2023 (revised for the period 2019-2023) is the key strategic-planning document of the City of Bijeljina, which should encourage community’s future growth and development.
 
Local Development Strategy includes social and economic sphere, as well as aspects of protection and improvement of environment. The Strategy was prepared as a framework to define joint goals, encourage local incentives, and as a response to the challenges of the future development of the city and life in the city.
 
It is important to mention that the Local Development Strategy of the City of Bijeljina was revised in 2018. The revised strategic document includes a list of priority programmes and projects in every sector, making it possible to reach the set goals through implementation of operational activities, which creates a base for overall implementation of the Strategy.
 
While revising the Local Development Strategy of the City of Bijeljina, care was taken to make it comply with the Agenda 2030 and the sustainable development goals. An important thing in the revised strategic document is that special attention was given to establishing integrated approach to the environmental protection through the projects to be implemented, thus significantly decreasing the risk of natural disasters.
 
According to the Annual plan for the implementation of the Local Development Strategy of the City of Bijeljina in 2022, it is planned to implement 55 projects, as follows: 16 projects in the economic sector (total value BAM 1,725,780.00), 11 projects in the social sector (total value BAM 1,959,680.00), and 28 projects in the environmental sector (total value BAM 23,173,546.00).
 
Total value of the planned projects is BAM 26,859,006.00.
