Improving the quality of life through civic initiative
In order to involve more citizens in the process of making decisions related to improvement of the quality of life in the City of Bijeljina, a Working body for civic initiatives was formed. It is made of representatives of private, public and civic sectors, as well as the representatives of youth, as part of the Regional Programme on Local Democracy (ReLOaD) project funded by the EU, and implemented by the UNDP and the Administration of the City of Bijeljina. The Working body proposed three initiatives, and the citizens of Bijeljina decided which one to implement.
Time of survey: from 19 July 2019 to 31 July 2019;
Method: Filling electronic questionnaire and citizen survey in the city centre;
Instrument: A questionnaire with three offered initiatives was created for the needs of the survey;
Survey conducted and analysed by: Section for Local Economic Development and European Integration;
Goal of survey: To choose an initiative to be implemented, thus involving citizens in the decision making process;
Sample: 1,225 citizens of Bijeljina.
