Continuous institutional cooperation towards sustainable jobs in Bijeljina

Sustainable system and mechanism of communication between key actors in education and labour market has been established at the local level.
Capacity of Secondary Technical School Mihajlo Pupin Bijeljina to perform professional practice and training has been improved – a CNC machine was purchased.

Training/retraining for shortage occupations and guaranteed employment at a company in the wood processing sector (50 trained, 19 employed).
 
Secured support for self-employment through incentives and a set of trainings for entrepreneurs (19 trained, 12 new entrepreneurs, 16 employed). Media campaign was implemented in order to promote the project.





Project activities were based on the strategic commitment of the city to work on improvement of business environment (strategic goal 1), in accordance with the sustainable development goals: 4 (quality education), 8 (decent work and economic growth), 10 (reduced inequalities), 11 (sustainable cities and communities), and 17 (partnerships for the goals).
