Cooperation with the Bulgarians and Czechs in sight
Delegation of City of Bijeljina had stayed in Sarajevo, where meetings in the embassies of Bulgaria and the Czech Republic were held, with the aim of promoting the economic potential of Semberija Region and improving cooperation with these European countries.- We spoke with Krasen Jurukov, a counselor of Bulgarian Ambassador, to whom we presented the economic potential of the City of Bijeljina and projects that are currently being implemented in the City. During the meeting, discussion have been held about priority areas of action of the Bulgarian Embassy and ways to support the BiH - Head of the Department for Local Economic Development and European Integration Ankica Todorović have said.In The Embassy of the Czech Republic, meeting has ben held between representatives of the City Administration of Bijeljina, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Bosnia and Herzegovina Jakub Skalník and the head of the Department of Economy and Trade Petar Kašička, where they discussed the possibilities of improving energy efficiency in Semberija Region.At this preparatory meeting, economic potentials of the City of Bijeljina and the possibilities of realization of potential projects in the field of energy efficiency have been presented. It was agreed that a working meeting is going to be held in July, when the Czech ambassador and representatives of Czech companies interested for cooperation should visit our city.- We discussed ways to improve energy efficiency through an integrated and sustainable approach. Czech Ambassador presented us the experiences of the Czech Republic when it comes to energy efficiency, as well as the possibilities of waste treatment and disposal. At the meeting which will be held in the first half of July, we will discuss the concrete proposals of cooperation and we are already negotiating the implementation of several projects - the Head of the Cabinet of the Mayor of Bijeljina Mile Pejčić announced.
