Construction of a sewers system in Bijeljina is an exceptionally important activity, as it is of historical significance for Bijeljina from the aspect of building a system of wastewater collection and treatment, but also of providing for protection of groundwater and potable water aquifers from possible pollution, thereby creating preconditions for long-term operation of companies, i.e. for potable water supply to the town and neighbouring settlements.17,199 m¹ of sewers collectors 250 to 900 mm in diameter have been constructed in Bijeljina City, along with six wastewater pumping stations, including main wastewater pumping station – ’’PS-1“.
