Section work reports
The Annual Report on the Work of the Section for Local Economic Development and European Integrations (hereinafter: the Section for LED and EI) includes an overview of the tasks implemented and the results achieved by the Section, whose scope of work is defined by the Rulebook on the organization and systematization of job positions within the City Administration of the City of Bijeljina.
According to the Rulebook on amendments to the Rulebook on internal organization and systematization of job positions in the City Administration of the City of Bijeljina, published in the Official Gazette of the City of Bijeljina No. 14/2021 dated 27 May 2021, the Section for LED and EI is an independent organizational unit within the City Administration. This unit coordinates the planning and implementation of projects and therefore actively cooperates with all departments within the City Administration of the City of Bijeljina. It is also responsible for managing and regularly updating databases that serve as a basis for project analysis, identification, and preparation.
One of the key tasks of the Section for LED and EI is to bring together all relevant stakeholders in the community and to establish and maintain public-private dialogue. The Sectionis also responsible for the preparation, application, and implementation of projects and measures aimed at improving economic, social, and environmental development, as well as activities related to energy efficiency and the renewal of the BFC (Business Friendly Certification).
The Section for LED and EI is additionally in charge of monitoring the EU integration process, including presentation of the City's potential and achievements, cooperating with donors, coordinating work with them, and preparing project proposals for EU pre-accession funds (IPA). Besides tasks related to presentation and promotion of the City's achievements and potential in contacts with domestic and international institutions and donors, the Section has successfully implemented activities and projects important for the development and promotion of the City.
